WE ARE FOR PARITY OF ALL FILIPINOS.

I am a Filipino. . . I sprung from a hardy race - child of many generations removed of ancient Malayan pioneers. . . This is the land they sought and found. . . This land I received in trust from them and in trust will pass it to my children. . . I am a Filipino. In my blood runs the immortal seed of heroes - seed that flowered down the centuries in deeds of courage and defiance. In my veins yet pulses the same hot blood that sent Lapulapu to battle against the alien foe, that drove Diego Silang and Dagohoy into rebellion against the foreign oppressor. That seed is immortal. It is the self-same seed that flowered in the heart of Jose Rizal that morning in Bagumbayan when a volley of shots put an end to all that was mortal of him and made his spirit deathless forever; the same that flowered in the hearts of Bonifacio in Balintawak, of Gregorio del Pilar at Tirad Pass, of Antonio Luna at Calumpit. . . The seed I bear within me is an immortal seed. It is the mark of my manhood, the symbol of dignity as a human being. . . I am a Filipino, child of the marriage of the East and the West. The East, with its languor and mysticism, its passivity and endurance, was my mother, and my sire was the West that came thundering across the seas with the Cross and Sword and the Machine. . . I am a Filipino, and this is my inheritance. What pledge shall I give that I may prove worthy of my inheritance? I shall give the pledge that has come ringing down the corridors of the centuries, and it shall be compounded of the joyous cries of my Malayan forebears when they first saw the contours of this land loom before their eyes, of the battle cries that have resounded in every field of combat from Mactan to Tirad pass, of the voices of my people when they sing:

"Land of the Morning,
Child of the sun returning...
Ne'er shall invaders
Trample thy sacred shore."

NOLI 'KABAYAN' DE CASTRO
Vice President

My warmest greetings to the exhibitors and participants of the "Kaya ng Pinoy".

The event shares in the Administration's goal of creating jobs through the promotion and development of entrepreneurship, as declared in the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP) for 2005 - 2010. It heartens me to know that this is the same mission professed by the organizers, the Globalpinoy Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises, Inc. By your very existence and credo in aspiring to develop our nation, you are already complementing government efforts in fighting poverty.

The exhibit will feature products of the Association's members and stage various activities to promote the BSME Act of 2002 and encourage the people to become entrepreneurs and make entrepreneurship as an instrument of job creation and is a positive signal for the rest of the business community to stay focused amidst challenges brought by globalization to our local industries. It reminds us that entrepreneurship is a dynamic force for economic development and income redistribution in society.

I commend the organizers and enjoin them to continue this endeavor, which spreads the entrepreneurial spirit and develops more productive and stable enterprises. I hope that the Filipinos will continue to work together in support of events like this so that the ending of poverty and overall economic growth will be achieved. My wishes for a successful exhibit.

          MABUHAY KAYONG LAHAT!

As a proponent of entrepreneurship myself, I join your organization in your mission of creating jobs through entrepreneurship in small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The secret of most successful countries worldwide is in supporting and promoting SMEs, which just need to be further supported and encouraged.

In my own humble way, I do support SMEs and micro business enterprises. I conduct skills trainings and livelihood seminars nationwide to encourage Filipinos to put up their own businesses because as many people know, I am staunch advocate of "Sipag at Tiyaga". If you have these two qualities, coupled with faith in God, you can succeed in life.

As I always say: Sa sipag at tiyaga, dyan tayo aasenso.! More power to all of you.

My sincerest felicitations to the officers and sfaff of the Globalpinoy Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises, Inc. for initiating the "Kaya ng Pinoy" Expo.

I am very glad that private groups are already moving towards helping the government in achieving economic growth at this crucial time through empowering entrepreneurship in small and medium enterprises. Achieving such feat is not an easy task but with concerned groups like the organizers of this activity the job ahead will be manageable.

Your corporate credo, "Our Aspirations and Desire is the Total Development of our Nation, " is a manifestation of your deep commitment to help the country not only in this activity but in the everyday life of your group. I really appreciate the fact you are working hard in line with the programs of the government for economic development. This is what we as a people need now a concerned and selfish act.

As you gather for this expo always bear in mind that achieving progress and development is a task not just of government leaders but of the whole citizenry as well. Rest assured of my full support in all your endeavors. Let us work together for a better and stronger Republic!

Senator

It is my fervent wish to see the continuing success of the Globalpinoy Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises, Inc. specially in the launching of the “Kaya ng Pinoy Expo”.

There are obvious reasons to support organizations which aim to uplift our people through skills training and market development. But I particularly commend those which focus on small and medium enterprises, such as Globalpinoy. While there are enough opportunities for big enterprises to sell to their market, there are not enough venues for fledgling business people to reach a global market.

I sincerely believe that the Pinoy, despite the bearish economic forecast, is able to meet the many business challenges that might come his way. Hopefully, Globalpinoy will continue to spearhead similar expositions, not only in Manila, but in all parts of the Country for the betterment of the Pinoy entrepreneur.

As your Senator, I pledge to work for the full recovery of our economy by supporting all endeavors that will strengthen the global capability of the Pinoy entrepreneur.

             Mabuhay ang Globalpinoy!

Senator

Warmest greetings to the Globalpinoy Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises, Inc. as you hold the Kaya ng Pinoy Expo.

The objective of "Creating Jobs through Entrepreneurship in Small and Medium Enterprises" is most appropriate as the President calls for collective effort to create six million jobs through more opportunities given to entrepreneurs. This challenge that we all face should open avenues for collaboration between government and the private sector. As government undertakes programs in support of SMEs, we look forward to other initiatives such as yours, which open opportunities not only to showcase SME products, but also provides skills training activities for livelihood opportunities.

Filipino entrepreneurs are at the forefront of our country's thrust to expand production operations and create incomes, jobs and investments.  Your success stories serve to encourage, motivate, and inspire others to follow your lead. Your progress and prosperity attest to what the Filipino can achieve through hard work and determination, an outward-looking business outlook and adventurous experience spirit, and a deep commitment to product excellence, quality standards and outstanding customer service. Indeed, your success stories serve as shining illustrations that the Filipino has what it takes to make it big in an increasingly borderless economy.

It is with great pride and privilege to congratulate the Global Pinoy Chamber of Small and medium Enterprises, Inc. for their success in conducting the "Kaya ng Pinoy Expo" for our Filipino entrepreneurs.

I confidently believe in the spirit of creative entrepreneurship, not only does it contribute to the diversity of our local products but most importantly, it certainly increases job opportunities for the vast majority of Filipinos who are helplessly trapped in poverty. Records show that 99.6% of all registered firms nationwide employ 69.9% of our labor force belong to the SME sector . Thus, participating SMEs plays an intricate part in providing solutions and alternatives to our country's economic problems.

With that, I congratulate Global Pinoy for striving to develop the SMEs in our country. Let us all continue to participate and strengthen our SME sector to poster a symbiotic relationship with SMEs and government institutions and by institutionalizing a "human" global perspective in the manner we perform and conduct our businesses.
